Liam Kearns established Kearns & Company in 2001 and as our founding lawyer practices primarily in the areas of Residential Real Estate Law, Wills, Estates and Probates. He graduated with honours from McGill University with a degree in political science and economics followed by his law degree at Osgoode Hall in Toronto.

After working as a corporate/commercial solicitor in downtown Vancouver, Liam initially chose to specialize in the area of real estate and mortgage law, and later in the areas of Will Preparation and Estate Planning. His firm today has over 12 employees and two permanent locations. Through consistent hard work and professional, accurate service at competitive fees, Kearns & Company has earned the reputation of being the “go to” firm for real estate law and has over 30,000 satisfied clients.

Liam has managed to successfully build his firm with the core values of professionalism, fairness and value for both his clients and his staff. Liam is an avid music lover and sings with Chor Lione throughout the year.  He is a fan of Musical Theatre and supports many local Musical Theatre Companies.

Russell McDonough has been a lawyer at Kearns & Company since 2005. Russell’s primary areas of practice are real estate law, commercial law and corporate law. Russell has gained a tremendous amount of experience and extensive knowledge in residential and commercial conveyance matters as well as working with small business owners in numerous capacities.

Russell is committed to providing his clients with friendly, professional, courteous and efficient service. Whether it be advising a client on a complicated legal matter or helping a first time home buyer navigate through the buying process, Russell is extremely dedicated to ensuring his clients’ needs are being fully met.

Prior to joining Kearns & Company, Russell worked at a downtown Vancouver law firm where he practiced in a number of different areas of law. Russell has done extensive volunteer work with Multiple Sclerosis Society assisting people with their Canada Pension Plan applications.

Russell graduated from Simon Fraser University with an honours degree in Criminology and then moved on to the University of British Columbia to obtain his law degree.

As Russell has always had an appreciation for music, in his spare time he is the lead vocalist in a band and often performs at various charity events to raise funds for a variety of causes including March of Dimes Canada. Russell is an avid barbecue aficionado and has competed in barbecue competitions throughout the lower mainland.
